Part-Time (Approximately 25 hours/week)
Reports to: Development Director

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County has been creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships for over 60 years, connecting young people with caring adults who help them build confidence and reach their potential.

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Development Coordinator to serve as a key member of our Fund Development team. This position plays an important role in the donor experience, ensuring gifts are accurately processed and acknowledged and donors receive timely, consistent follow-up. The Development Coordinator supports the systems, data and day-to-day processes that keep our fundraising program running smoothly.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of important details and is looking for meaningful work with a flexible part-time schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage donation processing and revenue tracking across platforms, including gift entry, coding, reconciliation, deposits, donor pledges and payments, and accurate recordkeeping. 
  • Coordinate donor acknowledgments and other stewardship activities, helping ensure donors are thanked and receive consistent follow-up. 
  • Provide administrative and data support for fundraising campaigns, events, mailings and other Development activities.
  • Serve as a welcoming and responsive point of contact for donors, helping answer questions and connect them with the appropriate team member.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for Board activities, office needs and other agency priorities as needed.

Skills and Experience

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Comfortable working with data, systems and processes
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and follow a consistent schedule for timely gift processing and donor acknowledgments
  • Proactive, dependable and able to resolve routine issues independently
  • Strong communicator with a friendly, service-oriented approach to donors and colleagues
  • Experience with CRM/database systems, Excel or similar tools preferred

Compensation

This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position (approximately 25 hours/week). Hourly rate: $20–$23/hour, based on experience. We offer a flexible part-time schedule, a collaborative team environment and the opportunity to do meaningful work supporting youth in our community. Regular in-office availability is expected.
